Radon has been identified as the second leading cause of lung cancer, second only to cigarette smoking. Radon can not be detected sight, smell, or taste. Radon enters through dirt floors, cracks in foundation floors and walls, openings around pipes, and sump pumps. Radon can be problem in homes of all types; old homes, new homes, drafty homes, insulated homes, homes with basements and homes without basements.
The EPA recommends that all homes be tested. We are certified by the Pennsylvania DEP and use continuous radon monitors. They are among the most accurate and efficient machines on the market. We also unitize charcoal canisters under certain conditions and larger jobs.
